Identifying the best affiliate marketing product to promote is of utmost importance in affiliate marketing. Do not go about promoting any product if they say they will pay you. Do not go about promoting any product just because it is hot selling for any one else.

There are a lot of factors to look at:

1. Look at the commission %

How much is your share if you help the person sell a product? This can vary. Many products are offered a flat fee per sale while many others offer you 50% - 75% per sale. You need to look at how much you stand to benefit from this sale.

2.Check out similar products and their % profit.

You may see that one of the competitors of our product offers 75% commission per sale while your product is offered just 50%. That would be a mistake to do the same job for a 50% profit while there is possibility that you will earn 75% profit.

3. Look at the gravity score

Look at how often the product is getting reported. There are products which may offer you 90% profit for each sale. But the truth may be that you may not get a single sale for that product, because the item may be dead due to the other products dominating the niche.

So make sure that you will chose to promote only the hot products that are getting sold.

4. Choose a product which you are familiar with

Suppose if you are a fitness enthusiast you will not have much trouble selling a weight loss book for 50% commission as you would be able to explain the book and the idea better. But if the same guy goes on promoting a fashion store for 90% commission, failure may be what awaits him.

So before choosing the product it is important that you choose the best niche for the product you are familiar with.

5.Once you decide the best product to promote heavily

Do not just sit back and say yeah I have written some blog posts and I am not getting any sale yet. Blog post alone may not bring you sales. What is needed is a controlled promotion from your side including all the various ways to promote the product. Like blog counting, article submission, forum posting, email marketing, banner advertising, adwords and fb ads etc.
